- Theory and simulations broadly in the area of astrophysical fluid dynamics/plasma astrophysics, with a focus on:
- Turbulent dynamo theory - applied to the Sun, stars, galaxies and galaxy clusters
- Magneto-rotational instability - dynamo connection in accretion disks
- Magnetic reconnection - applied to solar corona and laboratory experiments
- General computational astrophysics

- Common entrance test (CET) for Engineering, percentile: 99.9%, ranked at 363 from a total number of nearly a million students who gave the test (2002)
