RESEARCH INTERESTS

  • Theory and simulations broadly in the area of astrophysical fluid dynamics/plasma astrophysics, with a focus on:
    1. Turbulent dynamo theory - applied to the Sun, stars, galaxies and galaxy clusters
    2. Magneto-rotational instability - dynamo connection in accretion disks
    3. Magnetic reconnection - applied to solar corona and laboratory experiments
  • General computational astrophysics

  • CSIR SRF fellowship for research (one of the 3 selected from a pool of ~500) (2014-2015)
  • Joint entrances screening test (JEST), All India percentile: 99.1% (a pool of ~20000 students) (2010)
  • Common entrance test (CET) for Engineering, percentile: 99.9%, ranked at 363 from a total number of nearly a million students who gave the test (2002)
